A man was injured in a shooting at the Super 8 motel on Solano Avenue in Vallejo Thursday.

The shooting occurred around 9:45 a.m., according to dispatch audio, when the man was reportedly shot in the leg inside a hotel room by an unknown person. Officers arrived about two and a half minutes after the initial call and first responders applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. Medics transported the man to the hospital in an ambulance, with a Vallejo police SUV following, around 10:08 a.m.

Vallejo police spokesperson Sgt. Rashad Hollis was not immediately available for comment.
