Vallejo police responded to a shooting that wounded two people in the White Slough homeless encampment Sunday afternoon, according to public records.
Shortly before 4 p.m., first responders found a man in a wheelchair with at least one gunshot wound behind the Carl’s Jr. restaurant on Sonoma Boulevard, according to dispatch audio. A second victim, a woman, was found inside the encampment with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Both victims suffered injuries that were not life threatening and were transported for medical treatment, Vallejo police spokesperson Sgt. Rashad Hollis said in an interview Monday.
Police reported the suspect fled westbound after the shooting, and that they planned to search three homeless encampments in the area, according to dispatch audio.

Officers searched the area of White Slough for the suspect but did not locate them, according to dispatch audio and police records. Police have made no arrests in connection with the shooting, Hollis said.
On Memorial Day, a gunman shot three people inside the White Slough encampment, killing two men. U.S. Marshals arrested a suspect in that shooting nine days later in San Francisco.
