San Francisco police raided a house in central Vallejo last Wednesday, joined by investigators from the FBI and the U.S. State Department.
The operation began with a stakeout around 12:55 p.m., according to Vallejo police records. The records indicate that San Francisco police advised Vallejo officers that four armed plainclothes officers would be present on the 800 block of Lassen Street. Members of the San Francisco Police Department’s tactical team entered the home later that evening, followed by officers from the agency’s burglary unit.
Investigators searched the property and nearby vehicles, reviewing and removing documents, a Jeep, and other evidence. Open Vallejo also observed investigators from the FBI and the U.S. State Department’s Diplomatic Security Service enter the home. Police made no arrests during the operation, San Francisco police spokesperson Ofc. Robert Rueca wrote in an email on Tuesday.

An FBI spokesperson confirmed in an email to Open Vallejo Saturday that the agency assisted in the investigation, which was led by San Francisco police. The Diplomatic Security Service, which investigates visa and passport fraud, also participated in the joint operation, according to a Tuesday email from a State Department official.
The Vallejo Police Department did not play an active role in the operation, according to Vallejo police spokesperson Sgt. Rashad Hollis. Public records show that just one Vallejo patrol officer was at the scene. Vallejo police cleared the incident around 3:15 a.m. on Thursday, records show.
The San Francisco Police Department and the State Department declined to release additional details about the raid, citing the ongoing investigation and security concerns, respectively.
