A shooting at a major Vallejo intersection left one man injured Monday evening.
At approximately 6:18 p.m., police responded to a report of a possible shooting on Tennessee Street and Broadway, where they found a man with a grazing gunshot wound to the stomach, according to dispatch audio. The man told police he had been shot at Tennessee Street and Sonoma Boulevard, and drove to the nearby Chase Bank to await first responders.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and his wound was not considered life threatening, according to dispatch audio. Police have made no arrests, according to Vallejo police spokesperson Sgt. Rashad Hollis.
Monday’s incident comes on the heels of a stretch of gun violence that rocked the city at the beginning of the month. Nine shootings over the course of 10 days left one person dead and five others injured. The fatal shooting of 35-year-old Giordano Cerletti was also complicated by an apparent confused and delayed response by Vallejo police. Police have not announced any arrests in connection with Cerletti’s homicide.
