Vallejo police arrested a 27-year-old Vacaville man in connection with a Valentine’s Day shooting that left one woman dead, the agency announced Tuesday.

Imani Marquise Robinson was taken into custody around 6 p.m. Monday in the 2000 block of Marshall Road in Vacaville, according to a statement from the Vallejo Police Department.
Robinson was booked into the Justice Center Detention Facility in Fairfield on suspicion of murder early Tuesday morning, public records show. He is being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Vallejo police responded to a reported shooting on the 400 block of Sheldon Avenue shortly before midnight on Friday, Feb. 14. There they found a woman lying in the driveway of a house with at least one gunshot wound, according to police and dispatch audio.
Officers and paramedics performed life-saving efforts, but the woman died at the scene, according to Vallejo police.
Detectives identified Robinson as the homicide suspect and obtained arrest and search warrants on Monday, according to police. The Vacaville Police Department SWAT and Critical Incident Negotiation teams helped apprehend Robinson.
A person who answered the phone at the Solano County Coroner’s Office on Tuesday said she could not disclose information about the victim because the law enforcement agency investigating the death placed a protective hold on the case, despite public records that mandate disclosure.
