George J. Roth was born on April 18, 1942 in Michigan and died on November 24, 2025 in Vallejo, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jeannine, daughters Kristin Metler (Jeff) and Kelly Nicholson, grandchildren Jeffrey (Paty), Kourtney, Katelyn (Steve), Marina (Clayton), Emily, and Tony (Angelina), and great-grandchildren Madison, Autumn, Michelle, Clayton (aka Little Dude), Aria, Mateo, Olivia, and Maya.
George was in the Navy and served during Vietnam. He worked as an electronics technician at BART from the time it opened until he retired. He was kind, calm, always there for his family, and could fix most anything.
A celebration of life will be held on January 3, 2026 at 2 p.m. at the Veterans Hall in Benicia.
