Enrique Urtiz was born Aug. 22, 2008 and died July 2, 2025. He was a beloved young man who loved music, speakers, balloons, figure 8s in his wheelchair, pushing shopping carts, his iPhone, YouTube, swimming, microphones, lanyards, hot tubs, and spending the weekend at Cache Creek. He loved music and single-handedly kept Me Estas Tentando by Wisin y Yandel relevant on YouTube, playing it over a million times in the last 10 years. He was born blind and, at 10 years old, diagnosed with autism.
Enrique finished the 10th grade at Benicia High School this year and was beloved by the entire high school. He had the greatest ABA therapist a family could ever ask for, Cristian Flores. He was known for calling at inappropriate hours. His favorite breakfast was cereal. He had the best swim teacher a family could ever ask for, Debbie’s Swim.
Enrique is survived by his sisters Vanessa Urtiz, Jocelynn Arallanes, and Sofia Urtiz. His older brother Tony welcomed him into Heaven. Before he went to Heaven, he donated his organs to 8 people. An angel.
I love you to the moon and back, in this life and the next. — His mother, Karla Inchingalo.
